At the Department of Advanced Sciences of the University of Eastern Piedmont, Ms. Giulia Bassano has completed his research thesis activity in the field of synthesis and characterization of new nanostructured inorganic oxides to be used as decontamination devices for chemical warfare agents. The main results are strictly related to the goals of the Project.

Thanks to the scientific collaboration between ISTM and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Milan, one MSc student, Mr. Jacopo Sala has completed his research thesis activity about heterogeneous catalysts for the decontamination of CWA.

Aiming to present a comprehensive overview about emerging CBRN threats with a multidisciplinary approach, more than one hundred participants from various professional backgrounds (academia, first responders, health and ambulance services, military) attended the conference with oral scientific presentations and the joint poster session. All of the Co-Directors of the Project took part actively in the Conference, as Invited Speakers, presenting the main findings of the Project.
The NATO SPS Programme has been a main partner of the event.
